Advisory Experts for MSME Finance Projects - MENA Region

Background Information

The LFS Advisory Services Division is currently compiling a team of specialized advisors for upcoming MSME Finance capacity building projects in the MENA Region. Qualified consultants are invited to express their interest in cooperating with LFS in financial sector projects in this region.
The evaluation process of applicants’ profiles forms part of a broader preparatory exercise for expected upcoming business in the region. Specific information on individual projects, positions and locations will be shared as and when they have been determined. It should be noted that hiring depends upon successful tendering for projects.

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 5 years work experience in MSME finance (of which at least 3 years in commercial MSME lending operations in management positions as an expatriate advisor)
  • Proven track record of successful development / management of commercial MSME lending operations
  • Proven track record in training MSME loan officers in commercial MSME lending operations in transition countries (preferably in the MENA region)
  • Experience with financial sector in at least 2 countries in the MENA region
  • International Experience: Working exposure in MSME finance outside of the MENA region
  • Fluency in English, working knowledge in Arabic

Additional Assets

  • Management experience in an MFI or bank with MSME Operations
  • Experience in relationship management with shareholders, creditors and authorities
